Several weeks ago, rumors of trouble in the marriage of Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen surfaced during the dogs days of the Deflategate controversy.
According to US Weekly, those rumors appear to be picking up steam. The magazine reports Brady being highly irritable at home due to his concerns over his league-mandated four-game suspension:
“Tom’s become very nasty and irritable and started acting out on her,” says the source of the pair, who didn’t celebrate their summer birthdays together.
Their spats have become so heated that Bundchen recently consulted with a divorce lawyer, says a Brady insider. “Tom thinks it’s only a threat,” says the insider. “But this is definitely a rough patch.”
It’s amazing we’ve arrived to the point where some folks in Indianapolis and Baltimore having a bug in their brain about the Patriots allegedly deflating balls may lead to a married couple (an extremely famous one at that) of six years with two kids to calling it quits on top of Brady’s four-game suspension.
While reports Wednesday night indicated that a divorce between the couple was not imminent, it’s another distraction that the Super Bowl XLIX MVP will have to deal with.
If the divorce goes down, it would pit the world’s richest supermodel against one of the richest players in the NFL. With Brady’s luck these days, Roger Goodell would probably serve as the judge for that one.
